23 Jul

Now ranked 74 in the World, rising young British showjumping star, 19 year old Jessica Mendoza, is all set for her third British Nations Cup team appearance and a bid to win other major classes, including the King George V Gold Cup, when she returns to compete on home soil for the first time this year, at The Longines Royal International at Hickstead.

Jessica is one of the youngest ever riders to represent Britain in Nations Cup teams and was a member of the winning British team in Rotterdam last month. She is now  the 4th top British rider in the Global Champions tour rankings and the second top female British rider.

Jessica’s horses have been in top form this spring and early summer with consistent results in Arezzo, Hong Kong, Paris, The Netherlands and Belgium. She has held her own against the best in the world, regularly finishing in the money in Grand Prixs including 6th placings in the Longines Global Champions Tour in Shanghai and more recently in Estoril.

“I am really enjoying the team spirit of the Nations Cups and am looking forward to competing back in the UK.  We always take one competition at a time and my main ambition for the next few months is to break into the world’s Top 30,” comments Jessica.

We want to wish Jessica the best of the luck in her upcoming events! Fantastic work!
