MacWet’s sport stars keep their grip on success!

31 Aug

MacWet’s sponsored sport stars have been continuing their brilliant successes.  At just 15 years old, Amber Hill has decided to change her discipline to Olympic Skeet.  She really is proving to be one of Great Britain’s brightest shooting stars, ranking number one in England and number two in Great Britain already! Her talent seems to know no bounds and everyone at MacWet is really excited to see what she can do over the next few years.  Rio’s 2016 Olympic games can’t come quickly enough, but in the meantime Amber could potentially be competing in a string of international events and, of course, there are Commonwealth Games to look forward to.

But the excitement doesn’t stop with Amber! MacWet star Becky Bream has won a place on the Ladies FITASC team.  She joined the team for the FITASC world championship in Chicago, Illinois.  Becky loved the opportunity to represent her country at this international event and her place on the team was secured after receiving a bronze medal at the British grand prix FITASC sporting clay shooting championship here in the UK.

Graham Evans has also seen great success on the Senior Circuit and the Paramotor team are currently taking part in an exciting tournament in Spain.

Team GB Secure Dramatic Showjumping Gold!

7 Aug

Team GB have secured a dramatic showjumping gold after a Jump-Off with the Netherlands at GreenwichPark yesterday.

Locked at the top after two days of exceptional riding, the team showjumping was decided in the sport’s penalty shoot-out equivalent between Holland and GB.

Nick Skelton led the team in fine style, producing an absolutely faultless round in good pace when it mattered the most. The rest of the team followed, with Ben Maher and Scott Brash knocking down just one fence between them.

Meanwhile, Dutch errors left the door open for GB to go one better than the silver medal won by their eventing counterparts earlier in the competition. It came down to Peter Charles at the end of the event, who secured another faultless run for Great Britain to take a memorable Showjumping gold.

There are more medal hopes this afternoon for Team GB in the equestrian, as Carl Hester, Charlotte Dujardin and Laura Bechtolsheimer go for gold in the dressage.

MacWet wish all of the Team GB riders the very best for continued success!

Team Showjumping

6 Aug

After a sensational weekend for Britishsport with medal success coming thick and fast in the velodrome, the track and field, the gymnasium and Wimbledon, among other places, it is time for the Equestrian to take centre stage again as the Team Gb show jumpers go for gold. With Germany having failed to qualify, Team GB stand a realprospectfor taking a second Equestrian medal of the games, however they will need to overcome Saudi Arabia, who currently sit in first place.

Starrider Nick Skelton will lead the team out first in the event, which gets underway at 2pm on Monday and one things for sure, the team at MacWet will be cheering our British riders on.

Olympics Day Seven

3 Aug

It has been another great day at the Olympics for Team GB, with more gold medals and a magnificent performance from Victoria Pendleton to make up for yesterday’s disappointment with a sensational gold medal-winning performance in the keirin.

It was also an exceptional GB performance in the equestrian, where Charlotte Dujardin moved Britain into a gold medal position in the team Dressage. Scoring an Olympic record on board her horse Valegro, the 26 year old has placed GB in a fantastic opportunity for gold.

Everyone at MacWet wishes all of Team Gb all the best for further success.
