Great result for MacWet sponsored shooter Katie Cowell!

17 Jul

MacWet sponsored shooter Katie Cowell had a great result last week at the ISSF World Cup in Granada, Spain. Shooting for a total of three days, she exceeded her personal best each day and shot her first OT 25 straight on the Friday. Overall she finished in 68th place which means she will have a chance at qualifying for the Common Wealth Games.

We were so pleased to here that Katie continues to wear her MacWet gloves to ensure she has maximum grip on her gun. Our Micromesh gloves are made from a unique Aquatec fabric which responds to climate change, helping to keep your hands moisture free even in the hottest of conditions.

Joy for English Ladies Sea Angling Team

16 Jul

The MacWet-sponsored English Ladies team won Silver at the Home Nations Shore Fishing International Championships.

The event was hosted in Pwellheli, Wales and was a closely fought contest between the home nation and England. The scorching 30 degree heat made conditions extremely tough but the England Ladies finished the first day in Gold medal position, securing two zone wins.

On the second day, the fishing was even more difficult but England still secured one zone win. Ultimately, this proved not to be enough to win Gold but the Ladies were delighted with their second-place finish.

All of the teams that took part are looking forward to next year’s championship which will be held in Scotland. They hope to encourage more women to compete in the sport in the future.

Everyone in the England Ladies team was delighted with their MacWet gloves and will continue to use them in future tournaments.

MacWet sponsored shooter Amber Hill has taken the world of shooting by storm and has experienced even more success recently.

Despite competing in shooting events for a relatively short period of time, Amber has already won a string of honours and accolades. The young skeet shooter won the gold medal at the World Cup in Mexico earlier this year.

Following on from this, she won gold in the Junior International Cup in Finland, became number GB Number 1 and World Number 6 and travels to Spain later this week for the World Cup.

The future looks extremely bright for Amber and she continues to use MacWet gloves to further her achievements. The gloves provide fantastic grip in all weather conditions and are an essential part of her success.

MacWet wish her the best of luck at the World Cup and all her future tournaments.

Jessica Moore – A Rising Star

Though only 17-years-old, Jessica Moore has already set out to make a big impression in the world of shooting.

She competed in her first competition abroad at the European Championships in April, which took place in Gheddi, Italy. She was part of the GBR Ladies team who did fantastically well and won a gold medal. Jess also shot well enough individually to earn a place in the World Championships in Portugal.

Jess has recently returned from her trip to the Championships where she achieved even more success despite extreme heat and humidity. She won the Ladies individual bronze medal, narrowly missing out on the gold shoot-off by one target. The GBR Ladies also won a team silver medal and she put in another superb performance.

This huge amount of success pushed her up the world rankings and she was awarded the Bronze FITASC trophy that rewarded her achievements throughout the year.

Jess has used MacWet gloves throughout her success and loves how well they work in all weather conditions. She is very pleased with the grip and dexterity which the gloves provide and are essential for her sport.

We wish Jess continued success and are extremely proud that she uses MacWet gloves.
